Eine Nacht in Venedig [collection] : komische Oper in 3 Akten von F. Zell und Richard Genée ; Musik von Johann Strauss. 1883-1900.

Arranged in six groups: I. Vocal scores (20). II. Vocal parts (38). III. Chorus parts (39). IV. Librettos (2). V. Promptbooks (10 in 13 vols). VI. Dialogue parts (70). The vocal scores include a German edition by Cranz (Hamburg, 1883?) and a German/English edition by White, Smith (Boston, 1884). Both the vocal and chorus parts are holograph and in German, as are the librettos (Wien: Gustav Lewy, 1883). The promptbooks include typed, manuscript and holograph copies in English and in German. One of the English ms. copies is for the "Greensfeld version" and is dated 3/29/1900; the other is copyrighted 1897 by Goldmark & Conried. The German holograph copy was published by Lewy (n.d.), and one of the manuscript German copies bears the date 10/7/93. The dialogue parts, all in English, represent eight distinct sets, five of which appear to be complete. Sets 3 and 4 correspond to the Greensfeld version.
